14. Rocky C

No, I am not going to ruin the plot for the 100th Rocky movie. But this assignment is kinda starting to feel like the Rocky movies. They never seem to end. Each one more complex than the last. (At least I hope that bit is true. I’ve never actually seen a Rocky movie *dies of shock*.

Anyways, this was my first solid day of working on the website. I can do that now since everything else is finally out of the way and I have nothing else left to distract me.

So far I have got done:

*An amazing KwikTxt Logo (Well, maybe not amazing … but I believe its memorable and actually relates to my product and thats all it needs to do!

* A splash page. Its really simple, just a giant KwikTxt logo with links down the bottom … in the logo style. But, yeah. The links go to the first two minisites and the blog as well as the third minisite. The reason I put the splash page there is because I do not want to add any development related links onto my actual 3rd minisite. I want it to keep its professionalism. Its there to sell not to promote my development so it would look silly. Apple doesn’t give you a development process of the iPhone … Just tells you that you can’t live without one and how to go about purchasing it. So thats how I want mine to be.

* The layout for the “Features” section … which took forever might I add … considering how easy it should have been! Damn things refused to align … but I got it now.

* A menu that looks like the itunes thing! and its inside the features page right now to serve as a navigation within the features section, however, I might use it for other sections as well … seeing how I go.

And that is all I believe …  I kind of have a love/hate relationship going with it at the moment.

I am trying to use a little more colour in this minisite since my last two were mostly white and shades of black. So far I am doing good. But its difficult but I dont want to over do it either. I want to stay loyal to apples “simplicity” yet give it “flavour” lol.

And I just realised that my itunes-style menu doesnt work in IE. WHY DID I CHECK IT??  GRRRRR!

Okay back to the website! This is the hate part of our relationship kicking in.

13. End of Days

So, today is the 30th of October.

Almost another end. So far we have seen … the end of classes; the end of 1005, the end of 1008 the only one to remain now is the end of 1200 … Only three days to go. I decided to take a break from my diligent studies and keep you updated on ly progress.

The best “End” so far would definately have to be the end of presentations for the year. I gave my final presentation for 1200 on Friday, and I couldn’t be happier.

I must say though, I think my presentation skills on the day were far more superior than of those that I displayed during the first presentations. I didn’t even giggle. Except for that moment when a fly flew in front of the projector and for a split second I thought that it was Emma’s mind power controlling my mouse …

Anyways, Since thats all over, I can’t wait to finally hand in this assignment. Then I get like 4 amazing months of freedom!

I will miss uni though lol.

So, I can’t wait for next year!

That is the final render of my 3D model for maya … somewhat happy with it. But if it were up to me I’d still be working on it.

And that is all for now. I’m going to go and do the website now!

10. Die another day

So, This is the day that the second Minisite is due! There are only about 8 hours left until its due. Not to worry though. I am almost finished, my layout and stuff is all okay now all I have to do is input my data and I’m done.

I just had to take a break though. I grow to hate Internet explorer more and more everyday! It had a little trouble understanding what I was telling it to do. But thats okay now. Me being the genius that I am fixed the problem and now my site is looking radical in both IE and Firefox. I do not even want to try it with any other browser at the moment.

But Something stupid happened. My first minisite is really stuffed up! I have no idea why. It looked okay a couple of days ago but now the header pic is gone and the ‘current’ link’s name in my horizontal menu kinda dropped down a bit. I dunno what to do! Hopefully, it has already been marked when it looked good!  At any rate, I will get around to fixing that up as soon as I finish the second minisite.

Also, I can be Googled now! Its awesome! My Uni Home page comes up!

This is aweosme but makes me feel a little slack that I havent filled in the info yet and everything is still ‘Lorem Ipsum’. So yeah, I’ll be fixing that up soon too!

Anyways, I’ve had enough of random website talking. I should get back to doing it again.

Rob and Kaz both ended up showing up yesterday, and Rob told us the things he wanted in the website … So I’ve stopped stressing now. Although I still would have liked feedback from the first Minisite before submitting the second one. I guess you can’t win them all though.
